About Us

Grosse Pointe Cooperative Preschool was established in 1952 and was incorporated in 1963. We are the oldest continuously operating cooperative preschool in the Grosse Pointe area. Our cooperative preschool program offers various activities and experiences for children to learn through play. Part of being a cooperative preschool means that parents actively participate in the program to help transition children from home to school. Children work on arts and crafts, science, sensory-based activities, math, pretend play, music, literacy, fine and gross motor skills, reading and other hands-on activities.
